This past Thursday we lost a true American hero; John Glenn. He was a Marine combat pilot, a U.S. senator for 25 years, the first American to orbit Earth, and the oldest person to ever go in to space. One of our staff members had the pleasure of meeting John Glenn and seeing him speak on multiple occasions. John Glenn was so genuine and passionate about civic engagement and public service. His passion was truly contagious and inspired Mr. Colton to attend the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University to study public policy and nonprofit management, of which he is a proud alum. Below is a picture of Mr. Colton next to a replica of the space capsule Friendship 7 aboard the USS Yorktown. John Glenn flew the original Friendship 7 as part of Project Mercury which took place February 20, 1962.
